What do you do when you’ve got two little minute Ribeye steaks? They really don’t lend themselves well to being the main event in a steak dinner, so usually the option would be something like stroganoff.
This time, I wanted to make my own cheesesteak. And make it really good one.
You will need:
- Ciabatta buns, toasted.
- Your flat steaks cooked to your taste then sliced into strips.
- A bunch of thyme with stems removed (which is tedious, but totally worth it). Finely chop the thyme leaves and mix into mayonnaise.
- Camembert, sliced.
- Some bistro leaves.
All you have to do is assemble them and eat them!
The gooey Camembert is just absolutely wonderful.
I saw this beast on Instagram, and this will be the inspiration for the second version!
It boasts blue cheese and caramelised onion. Oh yes.
