I first heard about The Red Bus Bistro on Facebook when they were promoting the launch of the bus tours in Glasgow. As they have been operating in Edinburgh and recently launched in Glasgow, they ran a competition for someone and three friends to have a session on the bus…and I won!
The bus picks you up near George Square and you’re given your table aboard the top deck.
I loved how it was all set out and we were very comfortable!
We had a glass of prosecco poured then we were on our way round George Square while the chefs cooked our food downstairs.
They offer afternoon teas, which we were initially going to have. When we moved the booking to a later time we had burgers instead which I was delighted with!
7oz Angus Burger with Scottish Cheddar
The burger was topped with crispy smoked bacon, crispy salad, signature burger sauce, two onion rings and a pickle.
Slow Roasted Chipotle Pulled Pork
The gorgeous pulled pork was topped with spicy coleslaw, onion rings and a pickle.
Cajun Chicken Burger
The chicken was topped with the crispy salad and mango mayonnaise. I can speak for all of us and say the food was really nice! I’m not mad about chips, but I really enjoyed theirs! Beautifully crisp.
We set off on our tour around the outskirts of Glasgow. The sun was setting, so I got some beautiful pictures of the city at dusk.
I absolutely loved this experience and I’m keen to go again and try their cocktails – I’ve heard amazing things about their gin teapots!

I love this concept. Do they have any vegan options? You got some great shots.

I’m not sure to be honest – you’d need to ask. I asked about gluten free when I thought my GF friend was coming and they cater for that, so I’d hope they’d cater for vegan too!
