I was invited to try out @bobandberts_scot prior to their glasgow cafe opening, and as I’m taking part in #Veganuary I opted for a wee road trip to test out their vegan menu. I took my expert vegan pal @the_wishy_vegan to test the foods! There wasn’t a huge vegan range on the menu but what we had was amazing. This is the best photo I could get of their falafel wrap which is so, so tasty - I loved it! The falafel looked home made with sweet potato, and it was joined with avocado, salad and onion jam which was perfection 🌯👌🏼
Today is the day I finally just say what’s on my mind: tofu is shite 😂 thank you and goodnight #micdrop That aside, my vegan ramen was enjoyable and exactly what I wanted and needed after battling this disgusting lurgy that’s going around 🤧 #veganuary
I am all about dips and sides when I eat out! I love to pick and mix, dip some of this into that, shove this on top of that, etc. It’s like play time! Here are some vegan friendly beauties from Eda which you can find next to Merchant City Clock Tower. The sweet and fruity pickled red onions were gorgeous, and they were definitely more sweet than pickled. Perfect on top of the houmous! The baba ganoush was so, so tasty! This is the first time I’ve ever tried it chunky rather than as a paste and I really liked it for adding I to my salad rather than scooping up with bread. Anyone else doing #Veganuary found some new tasty finds so far this month? 🌱
My first venture out for a meal during #Veganuary was a huge success - this place is amazing for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike! I ordered the Falafel main course which was served with roasted vegetables, couscous, rice and a gorgeous salad 👌🏼🥗 Thank you to @the_wishy_vegan for introducing me!
Day dreaming about the bowls of Turkish goodness served at @babsglasgow 😍 This is the Balik Iskender - it was a fine display of flavours. The chargrilled sea bream was served with a grilled pitta, salsa, creme fraiche, Turkish peppers and zhug salsa verde. We also added some lamb shish onto the top for good measure!
Is there anything better than buttery, garlic and chilli prawns on a slice of delicious bread? I’m not sure there is. 💭
